SPCA International Releases New Video Showing Progress Made in Thailand

NEW YORK, Mar 08, 2012 -- SPCA International, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing animal suffering and abuse internationally, has released a new video filmed in Thailand showing SPCA International's Animal Rescue Expert Terri Crisp at a facility housing animals affected by devastating floods. The video reveals many animals in need and some of the progress the SPCAI Rescue Team made during their trip, thanks to the support of SPCAI donors.

In February, SPCA International dispatched rescue workers to Thailand in the wake of deadly floods that left countless animals stranded and suffering.

Supporters of SPCA International helped Thailand's innocent animals in several ways, including delivering thousands of dollars in medical supply aid, repairing animal facilities damaged by the floods, and advancing spay and neuter to prevent more unnecessary suffering.

"This video allows SPCAI to raise awareness of how these animals are still being affected post-flooding, and how they are benefitting from donations from our supporters," said Stephanie Scott of SPCA International. "We are so grateful to our supporters and donors, but we know that while progress has been made, it is far from enough. We are dedicated to returning to Thailand to work with our partners and continue improving life for these innocent victims."

SPCA International specializes in assisting animals in areas of conflict and disaster. During times of natural disaster, political turmoil, war and man-made disaster - SPCA International is ready to take action for the protection of animals.
